Chris Parizo was a professional musician and later an Atlanta and Boston high school English teacher before turning to screenwriting.
Parizo joined the alt-rock band Chin Ho! after high school. During his six year tenure, the band recorded five albums while touring relentlessly - opening for musicians including Jewel and Counting Crows, and playing venerable venues such as New York City's CBGB's and Athens, GA's 40 Watt. It was during this time that Parizo’s writing career began with the music magazine “Good Citizen”, which he co-published while writing critique, essays, and feature stories.
